Agreed Road Route Closure Saturday 10th May

Sunday 11th May 2025, 8:30am – 4pm – TTRO(24/25)N926

Agreed Road Route Closure Sunday 11th May

Wellingborough Town Council has been granted permission for temporary road closures during the upcoming Waendel Walk Weekend.

These closures are necessary to ensure the safety of walkers participating in the event, particularly in areas where there is no access to a footpath.

A professional traffic management company will be contracted to implement and oversee the closures. They will ensure that correct signage is in place both before and during the event to clearly advertise the closures. Additionally, traffic management staff will be present at each closure point throughout the day to manage the flow of traffic and assist residents and businesses.

Notices will be placed on lampposts, and leaflets will be posted near affected streets closer to the event date to keep residents informed.

While these closures are in effect, only residents and their visitors, and those requiring access to businesses within the affected areas will be permitted entry. Drivers will be advised to proceed with due care and attention, as there will be walkers present on the road.

The closures may not remain in place for the entire duration of the time granted. Roads will only be closed when walkers are present to ensure minimal disruption.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring the safety of all participants.

If you have any questions or require further information, please do nt hesitate to contact us at [email protected].

Thank you for your support in making this event a success.
