Who we are & what we do
Wellingborough Town Council is the first tier of local government. The Town Council is here to support your local needs. We only have two statutory duties, so we have the flexibility to deliver what the community want, rather than what is required through legislation.
The Town Council was created in 2020, but has only been operating since the first town councillors were elected in the 2021 May elections. This means we are in our infancy period, setting up policies and procedures to enable us to operate effectively.
We will soon be reaching out to our communities to find out what you would like us to provide in your areas. These views will be considered when setting the council budget for the next financial year. You can follow us on Twitter @WboroTC or on Facebook
