Planting an Oak to commemorate the new King, Charles III
There was a great turn out to witness planting trees for the Queen’s Green Canopy, including the Deputy Lord-Lieutenant, Alexander de Capell Brook.
Mr de Capell Brook started the ceremony and spoke about the importance of trees.
The Mayor and Deputy Lord Lieutenant both lowered the Oak into position and the Mayor thanked all for coming along.

Planting copse of Rowan in memoriam of the late Queen Elizabeth II
We then followed the Mayor to the copse area to plant Rowan trees in memoriam of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Many joined us to help plant the trees including Anita Neil, Honourary Freewoman of the Town, the Head boy and Head girl from Warwick Academy, Teamwork Trust, councillors, Warwick Petch Tree and Landscape Officer, Ricky from NNC and members of the public.
30 trees were planted and labled in total, a huge thank you to those that braved the cold and joined us for this special event.
