Wellingborough Repair Café is a neighbourhood initiative that promotes repair as an alternative to throwing things out.

There is a Repair Café, usually once a month, at Glamis Hall for All, Goldsmith Rd, Wellingborough, NN8 3RU where you can bring your broken items to fix them on the spot, with the help of voluntary repairers.

Wellingborough Repair Café could use more handy volunteers in the area, so why not join them!

They are looking for:

  • Volunteer Repair Specialists
  • Volunteer Receptionist
  • Volunteers for the Café
Repair Specialist:

Are you a local resident with various skills, who can be present as repair experts during the Repair Café events? They are especially looking for people who are handy with:

* clothing / textile   * bicycles  * electrical appliances

* furniture / wooden objects   * experience of PAT testing

and who enjoy sharing their knowledge with others.

Volunteer receptionist:

Can you be at the events and welcome visitors, signing them in and out?

Volunteer to run the café:

Can you be at the events to offer coffee, tea and cakes to visitors and repairers?

Additionally they are looking for someone who is handy with computers and the Internet!

They would like someone to help with their website and to, for example, make Wellingborough Repair Café more present on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
