Highways will be carrying out essential maintenance works to the existing eastbound and westbound carriageways of the A45 between Great Doddington (junction 11) and the Wilby Way roundabout (A45/A509).

During their scheme of work, they will:
• repair sections of the embankment
• repair and replace damaged drains
• resurface sections of both carriageways
• refresh and reinstate road markings and road studs in the work area

Once completed, all road users will benefit from improved road safety and a smoother
driving experience.

Work is due to start on 6th June 2022 and is scheduled for completion by the beginning of October 2022, subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

How will the work affect traffic?

To keep the programme for these works as short as possible and to minimise disruption to the local community, residents, businesses and road users, they will work under full carriageway closures between 8pm and 6am, Monday to Friday.

Some elements of the work will require full weekend closures from 8pm Friday to 6am Monday.

During these closures fully signed diversion routes will be in place, which have been agreed with the Local Authority.

How will the work affect businesses and residents?

Highways will make sure that access to businesses and residences is maintained wherever possible.

Highways apologise for any inconvenience caused and will do their very best to complete the work as quickly as possible, keeping disturbances and noise to a minimum.
